What you can do
Decide which HubSpot fields are shown and edited in Bridge
In the Contacts and Deals tabs you control each field with two toggles, Visible and Editable, while the essential deal fields always stay. In 7 steps.
- Visible: the field shows in Bridge
- Editable: it can be changed from Bridge
- Fields grouped by section
- Essential fields always visible
Steps
Step 1 of 7
Open Contacts or Deals
Each HubSpot object has its own fields tab.
In the Bridge admin console, open Connections › CRM. With HubSpot connected, the page shows six tabs. Contacts controls the fields of contacts and Deals the fields of deals. Both work the same way: each field has two toggles, Visible and Editable.
- Connections › CRM
- Contacts: contact fields
- Deals: deal fields
Step 2 of 7
Use Visible and Editable
Two toggles set the access to each field.
Each field shows its Type and two toggles. Visible controls whether the field appears in Bridge’s interface. Editable controls whether users can change its value from Bridge. Changes made in Bridge sync to HubSpot according to each field’s Editable setting.
- Visible: the field shows in Bridge
- Editable: it can be changed from Bridge
- Editable sets which changes reach HubSpot
Step 3 of 7
Control contact fields
Contact fields are controlled the same way.
The Contacts tab has the same columns as Deals: Attributes, Type, Visible and Editable. For each contact field, decide whether it appears in Bridge and whether users can change it from Bridge.
- Attributes, Type, Visible and Editable
- The same toggles as in Deals
Step 4 of 7
Review the Deals groups
Deal fields are grouped by section.
In Deals, fields are grouped into three sections. Deal Revenue: Amount and Exchange rate. Deal Activity: Closed Lost Reason, Closed Won Reason, Deal Stage and Is Active Shared Deal. Deal Information: Close Date, Create Date, Date of payment, Deal Name, Deal Type, Deal Description, Deal probability, Forecast probability and Forecast category.
- Deal Revenue
- Deal Activity
- Deal Information
Step 5 of 7
Review Deal Information
The last group holds dates, type and forecast.
Scroll down to see Deal Information, the longest group: Close Date, Create Date, Date of payment, Deal Name, Deal Type, Deal Description, Deal probability, Forecast probability and Forecast category. Close Date and Deal Name are essential fields.
- Nine fields for dates, type and forecast
- Close Date and Deal Name are essential
Step 6 of 7
Know the essential fields
Some fields cannot be hidden.
Amount, Deal Stage, Close Date and Deal Name are essential for managing deals: they cannot be hidden and are always synced. Their Visible toggle is disabled, and under their name you see the note This attribute is essential for managing deals and cannot be hidden.
- Amount, Deal Stage, Close Date and Deal Name
- Always visible and synced
- Visible toggle disabled
Step 7 of 7
Save your changes
Save to apply the settings.
When you change a toggle, click Save changes in the bottom bar to save the tab’s settings. To release conversations when a deal reaches a stage, follow the guide Release conversations by deal stage.
- Click Save changes
