How Users and Teams works
Everyone who works in Bridge, in one place
Add the people of this workspace, give them a licence, group them in teams and decide what each person can do. Everything here applies to the workspace you are working on.
- Add people or import a list
- Licences and add-ons, seat by seat
- Access by area, or with a role
- Teams, managers and out of office
Steps
Step 1 of 7
Each row is a person who works in Bridge
See everyone who works in this workspace, one row per person.
The Users tab lists everyone in this workspace with their teams, access, licence and status. Click a row to open the person; a chip such as “2 teams” shows its detail without opening anything. The other tabs organise the same people: Teams, Roles, Org chart and User fields, the extra details you keep about each person.
- Each row shows teams, role, access, licence and status
- Click a row to open the person
- A chip such as “2 teams” shows its detail
Step 2 of 7
Add one person or a whole list
Add one person at a time or a whole list from a spreadsheet.
Add user opens an editor in three steps: the person and their licence, their workspace access and their administration rights. The email always uses a domain verified for Norte SAS, and the new person stays Pending until they sign in for the first time. To add many people at once, Import reads a spreadsheet and skips anyone already here.
- Add user opens an editor in three steps
- Pending until their first sign in
- Import reads a spreadsheet and skips people already here
Step 3 of 7
A licence lets a person sign in
Give each person a licence and the add-ons they need.
Each person has Bridge Business, Bridge Call Center or no licence, and without one they cannot sign in. Seats are counted as you choose, for example 8 of 12 Bridge Business seats free. Add-ons such as Voice Local or Bookings are billed on top of the licence, and each one shows how many are left.
- Bridge Business, Bridge Call Center or no licence
- Without a licence, a person cannot sign in
- Add-ons are billed on top of the licence
Step 4 of 7
What each person can do in Bridge
Decide what each person can do, area by area.
Access is set area by area: Chat, Marketing broadcasts, Contacts, Reports, Surveys and Audit. Each area is No access, Full access or Custom, where you tick only the permissions needed, and each report can cover the whole workspace, their teams only or the people they manage. Administrators also get the Admin Panel sections you select.
- Each area: No access, Full access or Custom
- Reports: whole workspace, their teams or the people they manage
- Administrators also get the Admin Panel sections you select
Step 5 of 7
One role, the same access for many people
Give the same access to many people with one role.
A role is a named set of permissions, such as Service advisor. Choosing it in the editor fills every area and the administration rights at once, read only. Editing a role updates everyone who has it, except people whose permissions were adjusted by hand, marked Adjusted.
- A role is a named set of permissions
- Choosing it fills every area at once
- Editing a role updates everyone who has it, except Adjusted
Step 6 of 7
People who work together
Group the people who work together.
A team groups people, and one person can be in several teams, like Daniel Hayes in Commercial and Customer relations. Each team can have a Responsible chosen among its members. The Org chart tab draws every team with its people, built from what you set here.
- One person can be in several teams
- Each team can have a Responsible
- The Org chart tab draws every team with its people
Step 7 of 7
Active, out of office or archived
Change a person’s status from their row.
The status pill in each row changes a person’s status. Out of office asks for the last day away, who attends their customers and an automatic reply, as for Amelia Grant, covered by Olivia Brooks. Archiving stops a person signing in and frees their seat; their conversations and history are kept.
- Active, Out of office or Archived
- Out of office: last day away, who attends, automatic reply
- Archiving frees the seat and keeps the history
