What you can do

Connect your HubSpot portal from the Bridge console

Choose HubSpot in Connections › CRM, authorize the connection in HubSpot and come back to Bridge with the integration active. In 10 steps.

  • A three-step setup
  • Choose how existing contacts are handled
  • Authorization in HubSpot
  • The integration tabs, ready

Steps

  1. Step 1 of 10

    Choose the workspace

The connection starts in the workspace you want to connect.

Log in to the Bridge admin console at admin.bridge.new with an administrator user. In the sidebar, use the workspace selector to choose the workspace you want to connect to HubSpot.

    • Log in to admin.bridge.new as an administrator
    • Choose the workspace in the sidebar selector

  2. Step 2 of 10

    Open Connections › CRM

The connection follows a three-step setup.

In the sidebar, open Connections › CRM. The page shows a three-step setup: Connect CRM, where you choose the CRM and connect; Field mapping, where you match HubSpot fields with Bridge attributes; and Review and sync, where you review the result of the sync.

    • Connections › CRM, in the sidebar
    • Connect CRM, Field mapping and Review and sync

  3. Step 3 of 10

    Select HubSpot

Choose the CRM you are connecting.

From the Select your CRM dropdown, choose HubSpot. The card below changes to Connect your CRM HubSpot and shows the Sign in to your HubSpot account button.

    • The Select your CRM dropdown
    • Choose HubSpot

  4. Step 4 of 10

    Choose the sync setting

Decide what happens to contacts already in both systems.

Before you authorize the connection, choose in Sync settings how Bridge should handle contacts that exist in both systems. Overwrite automatically replaces the contact data in Bridge with the CRM data. Exclude does not update contacts already in Bridge with data from the CRM; you can sync them manually if needed. This setting only affects how data is synced into Bridge: your CRM is not updated unless you sync a contact manually. You can change it after the initial setup.

    • Overwrite: CRM data replaces Bridge data
    • Exclude: Bridge contacts are not updated
    • Only affects what comes into Bridge

  5. Step 5 of 10

    Sign in to HubSpot

    The authorization continues in HubSpot.

In the Connect your CRM HubSpot card, at the bottom, click Sign in to your HubSpot account. A new browser tab opens with HubSpot.

    • Click Sign in to your HubSpot account
    • A new HubSpot tab opens

Watch step 5 on the screen

  6. Step 6 of 10

    Choose your HubSpot account

Say which HubSpot portal connects to Bridge.

HubSpot shows that you are connecting Bridge to HubSpot and offers two options: Create a new HubSpot account or Sign in to your HubSpot account. If you are not signed in to HubSpot yet, log in with your HubSpot credentials. Then, under Choose an account, select the portal you want to connect and click Choose Account.

    • Log in with your HubSpot credentials
    • Select the portal under Choose an account
    • Click Choose Account

Watch step 6 on the screen

  7. Step 7 of 10

    Review the permissions

HubSpot shows what Bridge will be able to see and do.

HubSpot shows the scope approval screen with the permissions Bridge requests; Bridge appears with its official name and logo. The permissions include viewing and managing CRM data, such as contacts, companies, deals and their properties, and basic HubSpot account information: the user’s email address and the account’s primary domain.

    • Manage and view your CRM data
    • Basic HubSpot account information

  8. Step 8 of 10

  9. Step 9 of 10

    Check that HubSpot is connected

Back in Bridge, the connection is active.

Back in Bridge, the CRM page says HubSpot is connected with the message The provider HubSpot is currently connected. The Overview, Activities, Contacts, Deals, Pipelines and Duplicate Contact Handling tabs appear, and the setup continues with step 2, Field mapping.

    • The provider HubSpot is currently connected
    • Six tabs appear
    • Next: step 2, Field mapping

Watch step 9 on the screen

  10. Step 10 of 10

    Continue with field mapping

The last part of the connection: matching the fields.

In Field mapping, Bridge suggests a mapping between HubSpot fields and Bridge attributes based on standard names. Required fields, such as First Name, Last Name, Phone Number and Email, appear as Linked; the others show Not linked until you map them or create the attribute. To review the mapping and finish the sync, follow the guide Choose the sync and map the fields.

    • Linked: the field is already matched
    • Not linked: map it or create the attribute
    • Next guide: map the fields
